Chief Matrix Architect

Joel San Antonio, Chief Matrix Architect, has more than thirty years’ experience in the extended warranty and insurance industry.

In 1984, Joel founded Warrantech Corporation, a leading provider of third-party administration for insurance companies, and went on to take the company public. While serving as Warrantech’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, he received Ernst and Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award for financial services and earned Warrantech the recognition of Fortune Magazine’s “Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies” A private equity firm acquired Warrantech in 2007 and then by AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. in 2010, with Joel remaining as CEO and then as Chairman until March 2012.

Throughout his career, Joel has been involved in a wide range industries and business sectors, from insurance and financial services to travel and gaming. He has helped found and develop a number of thriving businesses, including Greenwich Salad Company and National Vehicle Services. Joel sits of the Board of Directors of several private and public companies, most recently BioRestoratives, Inc., a company that develops medical procedures using cell and tissue protocols.

Joel began his career in the apparel industry, founding Little Lorraine Limited, a manufacturer of various brands of women’s apparel, which he went on to sell in a management buyout.

Joel is a graduate of Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is also a graduate from Schiller College in Heidelberg, Germany, with a degree in Cultural Arts.

Joel San Antonio is the Co-Founder of Matrix Warranty Solutions, Inc. and the Managing Director of Stanwich Capital Advisors, LLC. He has more than thirty years’ experience in financing and business management.

Joel began his career in the apparel industry and founded Little Lorraine Limited, a manufacturer of various brands of women’s apparel, which he went on to sell in a management buyout seven years later.

Since then Joel has organized and launched a number of businesses including the Greenwich Salad Company and National Vehicle Services. Over his career Joel has participated as a Director of several private and public companies, most recently BioRestoratives, Inc., a company that develops medical procedures using cell and tissue protocols.
